The prompt was to "illustrate an alliteration". I made up an alliteration called 10am Tensions, and the idea behind the piece was to address the hectic rhythm of the working class. Inspired by the shape and the tradition of Russian dolls, I was fascinated by the layers that the structure offers and how it mirrors our state of being in human psychology and behaviors. While illustrating the piece, I was also trying to express alliteration both conceptually and visually.
This piece was also accepted as one of Society of Illustrators West 56 entry winner for their exhibition in January 2018.
